China is one of the four ancient civilizations in the world, with a long history. About 5000 years ago, settlement organizations began to appear in the Central Plains as the center, and then formed a country. After many times of ethnic integration and dynasty changes, the unified situation of a multi-ethnic country was formed. After the revolution of 1911 in the early 20th century, the monarchy withdrew from the historical stage and the Republican government was established. After the founding of the people's Republic of China in 1949, the people's Congress system was established in mainland China.
