Delicious Food in Nanjing

As we all know, China is a country full of delicious. Chinese food can be divided into four types, usually referring to Shandong cuisine, Sichuan cuisine, Cantonese cuisine and Su cuisine (Huaiyang cuisine). Different regions of China have different dietary habits due to different natural environments such as climate. Nanjing cuisine is one kind of Su cuisine and there are many delicious food in Nanjing. Let’s look at some kinds of delicious food in Nanjing.


1. Duck blood and bean-starchy vermicelli soup


Duck blood vermicelli soup is a traditional famous food in Nanjing. It belongs to Jinling cuisine and Jinling snacks. It is an important representative of Jinling cuisine and Jinling snacks. Duck blood vermicelli soup is made by adding duck blood, duck intestines, duck liver, etc. into duck soup and vermicelli. It is popular all over the country for its gentle taste, fresh fragrance and smoothness, and it’s suitable for both southerners and northerners. The duck blood vermicelli soup has been improved to cater to the dietary characteristics of different regions. The duck method is an important representative of Jinling cuisine.


2. Boiled salted duck

Boiled salted duck is a famous food in Nanjing. It belongs to Jinling cuisine and is one of the representatives of Jinling cuisine. It is also called osmanthus duck, which is a product of Chinese geographical indication. And it has a long history of more than 2,500 years. It tastes fat but not greasy, fragrant and delicious, with the characteristics of fragrant, crisp and tender. Before and after the Mid-Autumn Festival, the boiled salted duck is at its best taste. 3. Osmanthus cake
