We are know that there are various kinds of school clubs in our universities and these clubs often hold interesting activities. We can take part in these colorful activities in our spare time. Nowadays, as the environment pollution is getting worse, immediate actions ought to be taken to prevent this from happening. People are getting more and more aware of the significance of environmental protection and participate in low-carbon life and garbage classification. There are more and more environmental protection associations organized by the people spontaneously. In my university, there is also such an environment protection club. Let me introduce this club.

The Environmental Protection Club in my campus was established on November 17, 2001. The association always takes "feeling nature with heart and caring for nature with love" as its purpose, "dedication, unity, innovation" as its training. The club has a clear division of roles and team spirit. It combines actions and slogan together and focus on practice. The club aims to open up new directions for climate change and environmental education.

The club holds interesting activities from time to time. Club activities include environmental education, environmental protection promotion for children, hand-made use of recyclable materials such as discarded plastic bottles, and tree planting activities in Longwang Mountain. Most of these activities are school-wide and all students in the school can participate.

One member of the club said that the senior club members was very friendly to them and made them feel the warmth of people. She chose to stay in the club because she had deep feelings for the club and want to try her best to make the club better. She felt that it’s meaningful to do something for environmental protection.

There are many heart-warming things. For example, the club once went to Yangzhou University to post a questionnaire, 80% of people accepted the survey. Also, most of the elderly readily accepted the survey and filled out the questionaire by themselves. One of them told the club members about her unique feelings about the implementation of garbage sorting and the importance of environmental protection.

The Environmental Protection club is an organization full of positive energy, aiming to carry out green actions, environmental protection propaganda and environmental protection work. They believe that through various environmental protection activities, more people can understand the concept of environmental protection and participate in environmental protection actions.
