Xinhua news agency, Beijing, March 5 (reporter Yangna) China's sharing economy development report (2020) released by the sharing economy research center of the National Information Center on March 4 shows that the market transaction volume of the sharing economy in 2019 is 3282.8 billion yuan, an increase of 11.6% over the previous year.



According to the report, 2019 is a year of in-depth adjustment of China's sharing economy, which has played a positive role in stabilizing employment. The number of participants in the sharing economy is about 800 million, of which the number of service providers is about 78 million, up 4% year on year.



The role of sharing economy in promoting the optimization of service industry structure and the transformation of consumption mode is further revealed. According to the report, in 2019, the proportion of new forms of sharing economy in the taxi, catering and accommodation sectors reached 37.1%, 12.4% and 7.3% respectively, 20.5, 7.8 and 3.8 percentage points higher than that in 2016; the popularity of online car hailing, take out catering, sharing accommodation and sharing medical treatment among netizens reached 47.4%, 51.58%, 9.7% and 21%, 15.1, 21.58, 4.7 and 7% higher than that in 2016 Percentage points.
