Shandong Normal University (SDNU) is a key comprehensive university in Shandong Province with a history of over 60 years. SDNU has two campuses that cover a land area of about 260 hectares. At present, SDNU has an enrollment of 38,370 full-time students, among which 5,000 are postgraduates. There are 25 schools/colleges at SDNU with 9 postdoctoral research centers, 76 doctoral programs, 165 postgraduate programs and 84 undergraduate specialties covering 10 academic disciplines of philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, management and art.
SDNU has been keen and active to conduct international exchange and cooperation, having established sisterly relationships with 87 universities from 19 countries and regions so far. SDNU is among the first group of universities approved by the Ministry of Education of China to enroll international students including those supported by Chinese government scholarships. SDNU is also among the first group of universities to enroll international students supported by Confucius Institute scholarships and Provincial government scholarships. Since 1983, SDNU has welcomed and educated more than 7,000 short-term and long-term international students from over 60 countries and has become a window of Shandong province to the world.
