Northwest A&F University (NWAFU) was founded in 1934. It is a national key comprehensive university directly under the jurisdiction of Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE). and now, NWAFU is one of leading universities in China, and is supported by the Chinese government's Project 985 and Project 211, and it is on the list of National Double First-class University Plan in China. It is an education institution in China that is completely equipped with disciplines of agriculture, forestry, and water science. Currently, there are 25 colleges (departments or institutes) and a graduate college, which cover disciplines of agriculture, science, engineering, economics, business, medicine etc. The discipline of agriculture was listed in the global top 1 ‰ of ESI,other 6 disciplines such as environment &ecology, engineering and biochemistry were listed in the global top 1%. NWAUF  has stood out as its distinguished features and advantages in Plant Pathology, Soil Science, Agricultural Water and Soil Engineering, Veterinary Medicine,Fruit Science,Animal Genetics and Breeding,Plant Genetics and Breeding, Agricultural Economics and Management, Agricultural Entomology etc.

 For now, 21,000 undergraduate students and 8,000 postgraduates are studying at NWAFU. Northwest A&F University is one of the universities in China qualified to accept international students and Chinese Government Scholarship students.
