Jiangsu Normal University currently has four campuses: Quanshan, Yunlong, Kuiyuan,Jiawang. The four campuses cover around 1,220,000 square meters with 71000 square meters of building space. The university has fixed assets totaling 1.223 billion Yuan with 374 million Yuan of teaching and research equipment. The library system contains 2.49 million volumes. The university has 22 specialty schools and CW Chu College, Further Education School, International College,Kewen Institute and JSNU-SPbPU Institute of Engineering, the 1st Chinese-Russian Cooperation in Running School without separate legal entity approved by Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. The university offers 68 undergraduate majors, 28 master programs, 1 doctor’s program and 1 post-doctoral research station, covering 11 discipline categories.Currently, the university has over 25,000 full-time undergraduate students and more than 3,000 postgraduates. With over 60 years’ development, Jiangsu Normal University has become a comprehensive teaching research university diverse in all its disciplines.

    The university has actively performed the strategy of strengthening the university with talents. The number of the teaching staff is 1469, including 269 professors and 582 associate professors. 50.6% of the teaching staff hold doctorates. 37.6% of the teaching staff have overseas study experience. The faculty of Jiangsu Normal University also includes 2 Chang Jiang Scholars Distinguished Professor, 6 Provincial Guest Professors, 9 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 46 Chang Jiang Scholars and Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars,  23 teachers entitling to Special government allowances of the State Council, 4 people have selected as “New Century Outstanding Talents”,12 people have won Outstanding Expert of State, 8 people have selected as “Double-Innovation Talent”, 16 teachers have been selected as the training targets of “Six Major Talent Peaks” of Jiangsu Province, 105 people have been selected in the “333 High-Level Talent Education Project”, 143 people have been selected in “Qing Lan Project”. Jiangsu Normal University has 3 “Qing Lan Project” and 19 provincial Sciences Outstanding Innovation teams.

    Jiangsu Normal University was one of the first Chinese universities authorized to receive overseas students. We have established intercollegiate relationship with over 50 colleges and universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Russia. We have had students from 41 countries and regions. The university also set up Confucius Institutes on both the United States and Australia. Additionally, we have joint programs with universities in the United States, Australia, Japan, Russia and Belarus. There are faculty exchange programs with universities around the world including Harvard University and Hong Kong University.
