    It has 4 State Key Disciplines  of TCM, 21 Key Disciplines of State Administration of TCM, 11 Provincial Key Disciplines  of TCM, 16 Provincial Leading Talent t\Teams,  3 National Teaching Teams, 5 Provincial  Teaching Teams, 8 National Excellent Courses, 8 National Resources Sharing Courses  and 22 Provincial Excellent Courses. The university is one of the state-level  outstanding universities of Higher Education and Research. and it successively  obtained 1 first prize of National Teaching Achievement Award, 6 second prize  of National Teaching Achievement Award, 50 Teaching  Achievement Award of Heilongjiang Province.  The Teaching-lab center is of National Experimental Teaching Demonstration  Centers.

    The overseas student  education program of HLJUCM was started in 1980s. For many years, HLJUCM has  attached great importance to the international education, academic exchange and  international cooperation of TCM. The overseas student scale of HLJUCM expands  gradually with the development of the international education level. The  education level covers degree education, short-term training, and exchanges of  visiting scholars, up till now more than 5000 international students and over  500 visiting scholars have successfully graduated from HLJUCM. In 2007, HLJUCM  has established the world‘s first “Confucius institute for TCM” at London, U.K.  to carry out the education of Chinese medicine.
