INTRODUCTION

The university has 11 colleges and 5 Institutes, a total of 27 undergraduate Programs; has 11 doctoral level disciplines, 45 doctoral programs, 10 post-doctoral stations; 33 master's level Programs, 151 master's degree programs; Master's degrees in engineering; 5 national key disciplines, 2 national key disciplines, 5 Beijing key disciplines, 2 state key laboratories, A national engineering course training base, 2 Beijing City Expert Training Bases, four Beijing Municipal Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centers and 20 provincial and ministerial level key laboratories and key research institutions.

The university adheres to the talent as the first resource, the establishment of a high level of teaching staff. The university has an existing staff of 1463, of whom 240 are professors, 376 associate professors, doctoral Tutor 207. Among them, there are 2 academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences, 2 academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, 2 academicians of Royal Society, 1 academician of National Academy of Sciences of Norway and 1 academician of Royal Canadian Academy of Sciences. The school has 8856 full-time undergraduate students, 5800 master's degree students, 1258 doctoral students, 679 international students, the total number of students nearly 16,000 people. The employment rate of graduates has remained high throughout the years.

The school attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation. Through the implementation of its internationalization strategy, it has continuously broadened the scope of international exchanges and cooperation and continuously expanded its international influence. The university has established multi-level, multi-field and multi-channel exchanges and cooperation with more than 150 universities and companies in countries such as the United States, France, Britain, Canada, Japan and other countries. 11 international joint research institutes have been established with foreign universities and companies; the Confucius Institute was established jointly with the University of Quito in Quito, Ecuador; and on average, there are nearly 10 international academic conferences held each year.
