CUPES is home to or associated with 15 social organizations, including AUSF Education & Development Center, China Mass Volleyball R & D Center, China Basketball League of Colleges and Universities, the Training Base of China Athletics Amateur Training Alliance, Beijing Football Association of Colleges and Universities, Beijing Curling Association, etc.. Dedicating to the communication and promotion of traditional Chinese culture, CUPES is also equipped with Martial Arts Training and Research Center for International Promotion of Chinese Language, Chinese Language Education Center of Beijing and HSK Internet-based Test Center.
CUPES has nearly 500 faculty members, 86.7% of whom hold master's degree and doctoral degree. 18 of them have won the title of International Athlete, 24 have won the title of International Referee, 5 have served as national team coach or foreign martial arts team coach, and 14 have served as the national team’s scientific research and conditioning coach or physiotherapist.
CUPES brings together a group of world-class or national champion-level martial arts teachers, such as the sparring champion of the 13th World Wushu Championships, Shi Longlong, the sabreplay champion of the 9th World Wushu Championships and the broadsword and cudgel all-round champion of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games Wushu Routine Match, Zhao Qingjian, national Wushu champion who served once as the head coach of national martial arts team in Sri Lanka, Guo Yufeng, tai chi champion of the 4th Asian Wushu Championships, Yang Jing, stuntwoman of the movie Crouching Tiger, hidden Dragon, Li Fengmei, and etc.
Being actively involved in foreign exchange activities, CUPES has established international cooperation relationships with a number of universities or institutions in many countries such as the United States of America, Britain, South Korea, Japan, Canada, Russia, Thailand, Malaysia, Armenia, Denmark and other countries. By inviting and sending out exchange students and visiting scholars, CUPES has gradually laid a higher-level cooperation network foundation that mainly focuses on overseas universities as its main education and research cooperation partners. At present, the CUPES has enrolled more than 5,000 students and nearly 100 of them are long-term international students. Moreover, it also provides short-term study programs for hundreds of international students from more than 50 countries and regions each year.
