Recently a resurgence of Covid-19 cases has been discovered in China. According to the latest update from Covid-19 Prevention and Control Headquarters small scale outbreak of Covid-19 has been detected at an International airport in Nanjing, east China’s Jiangsu Province about a week ago. As of the latest update, five provinces have reported positive cases. To contain this deadly virus authorities have taken many steps to further strengthening the Covid-19 prevention and control work. Many cities have launched a citywide nucleic acid testing program to identify new cases. 

Since the new outbreak, many Chinese universities have immediately, taken prevention and control measurements to save students from this outbreak. International students also have actively cooperated with the university authority. One of the students from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) shares his experience with MyStudyChina how do they protect themselves from this outbreak of Covid-19!

Abide by school arrangements on the COVID-19 prevention and control: All the International students strictly comply with the school management measures during the outbreak and cooperate with the nucleic acid test (NUIST has done 3rd round of nucleic acid test within a week). 

Take the lead in guaranteeing self-protection: International students strengthen the awareness of self-protection, avoid gathering and dining together, and reduce the flow of people. Wearing a mask when going out of the room, keep a safe social distance of more than one meter from others, and develop good habits of washing hands frequently, as well as cleaning and ventilating the room regularly.
